Roadtrips and A Phoenix Locksmith

Road trips. A great American pastime that continues to this day, even with high gas prices, to entice, invite and enthrall people young and old and welcome them to the road. Sometimes it's just the local journey of a few hours or branching off into further territory en route to one or multiple states. When the road calls, be it local, regional or national, people listen and head out for adventure. When on road trips, this writer is told, it is unusual for a trip to have a low point at the end.

"The end of a good road trip, that is when everyone is tired and about the worst thing that happens is everyone just being too antsy to get home", said Jeremy Givens of Phoenix, Arizona.

Apparently, it seems, most vehicle problems or accidents tend to occur at the beginning of the trip or at the moment when you are so far away from home that everything seems horrible and impossible to remedy. When Jeremy and his childhood friend Dave Sumter hit their snag only twenty miles from the Phoenix city limits they were, needless to say, a bit troubled.

"We were driving for almost two hundred miles, really close to home, and needed gas. Dave said he was hungry so we pulled over, filled up and ate some burgers to get us through the rest of the trip."

This is when the unthinkable, the end of trip mishap, occurred.

"We finished eating, went back to the truck and as I was starting it the key just snapped. Can you believe it?" asked Jeremy. "I had no idea what to do."

Since he broke the key in the ignition Jeremy and Dave thought their vehicle was in need of major repairs.

Asking around if anyone knew of an auto mechanic they could call, the just off-duty gas station worker informed them with a snapped key in the ignition lock they could just call a Phoenix locksmith and have it fixed instead of needing to be towed to an auto shop.

"That was totally cool and great news to hear!" Dave chimed.

Looking through the phone book they were able to find a Phoenix automotive locksmith to come and remove the key from the ignition, re-key it and get them on their way.

"I have one of those trucks that has a keyless entry system and they were able to give me a brand new key that worked with that. I was so worried and all I wanted to do was get back home, but now I know what to do if anything like this ever happens again" said Jeremy.

Arriving back home in Phoenix the two road weary travelers said their hellos to family and friends, prepared for the work week that was awaiting them and with relieved minds and confidence for any other misfortune that can occur on the road said they were already starting to plan their next road trip across the country.
